About Scott Whitlock
Scott has taken the mystery out of meditation and has developed powerful tools for today’s world based upon proven ancient traditions. He’s a lifetime learner with a passion for developing practices and techniques to squeeze out the very best in life. For 30 years, Scott has studied and written on the science and techniques of self-improvement, self-realization and more recently, the role meditation plays in personal development.
While studying business at both Missouri State and Drury Universities, Scott partnered with a good friend to launch what is now the largest retail medical supply in southwest Missouri. Real estate also interested Scott and 1985 he earned his broker’s license. Shortly thereafter he acquired an existing property management company and furthered his real estate career by developing, selling and managing residential and commercial properties. Scott has always had a great passion for the outdoors; he’s a conservationist, hunter and fisherman with the emphasis being on conservation. Scott says “Returning to the rhythm of the earth by fly-fishing on a quiet stream, improving wildlife habitat, listening to elk bugle high in the mountains, or simply enjoying the sunshine, is a must for me.” This interest led to another business venture in 2001, when he patented and manufactured a line of outdoor gear which allowed him to turn his passion for the outdoors into a business of helping others gain more enjoyment from their time afield. |

| From the multitude of Scott’s different business and life experiences, one thing is obvious; He is geared to serve others which has been the catalyst behind all of his business endeavors. Scott says it best here: “Whether it’s providing my community with the best in medical supplies, renting or selling someone their first home, or simply helping people enjoy the great outdoors, I get a lot of satisfaction from making people happy.”
Springfield, Missouri is where Scott was raised and remains today to be near his family and all the Midwest has to offer. Scott’s passion to help others achieve their best in life is exceeded only by his passion for his family. He and his wife Charlene recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and they have two children, Benjamin and Courtney, who are still at home. They are the closest of families; as Scott puts it, “Bonded by an energy and love equal to no other” and together they enjoy a huge variety of hobbies, sports and the great outdoors. Scott is still very active in the medical supply business; however, he recently sold both the real estate and outdoor gear businesses in order to pursue his calling of helping others through teaching. By witnessing such contrasting qualities of life of his medical supply customers, Scott realized that people aren’t born with the knowledge to guide their lives to fulfillment. He says, “Very few people naturally maximize their potential and nobody can be expected to automatically know how to live their best life. Most people, no differently than me, need training if they’re going to design and enjoy a rich and fulfilling life.” |
“Success is measured by the level of consciousness, happiness and fulfillment a person experiences on their average day.”
